IKEA continues to broaden its reach across the Valley with two major updates: the opening of IKEA Scottsdale at The Promenade and the announcement of a third Valley location in Phoenix, offering even more accessibility and flexibility for Valley shoppers.
Opened on May 7, IKEA Scottsdale at The Promenade introduces a Plan & Order point with Pick-Up — a concept tailored for customers looking to design more complex spaces such as kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms with expert guidance. Though it doesn’t offer immediate take-home purchases, shoppers can work with IKEA’s team to plan out solutions and either pick up orders onsite or schedule delivery.
Online customers can also select this new Scottsdale location as a pick-up point for qualifying online orders from IKEA-USA.com, adding an extra layer of convenience for North Scottsdale and Paradise Valley residents.
At approximately 75,000 square feet, the upcoming IKEA Phoenix store brings a small-format concept with big impact. Slated to open at Village Square II (4643 E. Cactus Rd.), across from the Paradise Valley Mall redevelopment, this location will offer:
This new format still features fully furnished room settings tailored to local living styles, helping Valley residents visualize and personalize solutions for their homes.
“These new locations highlight our commitment to bring IKEA closer to the many people and make it easier and more affordable to access our home furnishing products and solutions,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO & Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S.
IKEA Phoenix will also debut a new Swedish Deli concept, where customers can enjoy hot and cold food, dine in, or take meals home. In line with IKEA’s sustainability mission, the Phoenix location will feature an As-is Department, offering gently used, discontinued, and extra-affordable products — promoting reuse and circular living.
“We’ll be wherever people are, whenever and however they want to shop IKEA,” said Kori Thorstenson, Market Manager for IKEA Tempe. “These locations are big steps in that journey.”
From customized home planning in Scottsdale to small-space shopping in Phoenix, IKEA is reshaping the shopping experience for the modern Valley resident. These two innovative store formats mark a new era for the brand in Arizona, designed to meet customers where they live, work, and play.
